How Snapchat checks your number
Snapchat asks for a phone number or an email during sign-up. Choose phone and it sends a 6-digit code by text. Some screens also offer to call you instead.
Snapchat may ask you to confirm a phone number later, too. Adding one can be needed for things like finding friends from contacts or getting back into your account.
A call won't work here. Always pick the text message option so the code reaches your SimVala order page.
Why use a one-time number
Snapchat is all about staying private, so it's odd to hand it your real number just to open an account. A one-time number gets you past the sign-up text, and your contacts never see you pop up in their "Quick Add" list because of it.
