The honest exception
For certain regulated products in a few countries, our upstream provider requires an identity check before it will deliver. Most sellers bury this. Here is exactly how we handle it:

- If a check applies to your order, we tell you before anything is sent.
- If you decline, the order is cancelled and the full amount returns to your balance.
Crypto is not automatically KYC-free
A no-KYC store does not check you. But whoever sold you the crypto may already have. Pick where yours came from:

Is a no-KYC eSIM legal?
In most countries, yes. Buying mobile data without an identity check is not illegal, and travel eSIMs are generally outside local SIM registration laws. You are still responsible for using your connection lawfully, and our Acceptable Use Policy rules out illegal use.
No-KYC is not the same as anonymous

Does paying with crypto mean no KYC?+
Not by itself. If you bought your crypto on an exchange, that exchange checked your ID. The store learns nothing about you, but the exchange knows it sold you coins. Monero keeps the payment itself private on the blockchain.
Why do some eSIM stores ask for ID?+
Some products and countries require it, and some stores collect ID by choice. Card payments also link your purchase to your bank identity.
