Updated September 7, 2026 · SimVala editorial
In short

To install an eSIM on Android, open Settings, go to Network and internet, tap SIMs or Mobile network, choose Add eSIM or Download a SIM instead, and scan the QR from your SimVala dashboard. Menu names vary a little by brand, but the flow is the same.

What you need first

  • An eSIM-capable Android phone (most flagships since 2019)
  • Android reasonably up to date
  • A Wi-Fi or existing connection to install the profile
  • Your eSIM QR code, open in your SimVala dashboard on another screen

Install it in 4 steps

  1. 1

    Open network settings

Go to Settings, then Network and internet.

  2. 2

    Add a SIM

Tap SIMs or Mobile network, then Add eSIM or Download a SIM instead.

  3. 3

    Scan the QR code

Scan the QR code shown in your SimVala dashboard.

  4. 4

    Turn it on

Enable the downloaded SIM and pick it for mobile data.

Menu names vary a little

Wording can differ slightly between OS versions, but the flow is the same: find the SIM or cellular settings, add an eSIM, and scan the QR from your dashboard.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find the eSIM option

Search Settings for eSIM or SIM. If nothing appears, your phone may not support eSIM. Check our device support guide.

No data after install

Enable the eSIM line, turn on Roaming for the travel line, and select the eSIM as the data SIM.

Menu names look different

Android skins vary by brand. Look for SIMs, SIM manager, or Mobile network under Network and internet.
