Global eSIM: one plan for 117 countries

What is a global eSIM?

It is a travel eSIM with a very long country list. A normal travel eSIM gives you data in one country. A regional eSIM covers a group of neighbours, like Europe. A global eSIM stretches that to 117 countries across every continent, so one QR code covers a whole round-the-world trip.

It works like any eSIM. You scan a QR code, the plan sits next to your normal SIM, and when you land in a covered country your phone joins a local partner network. You do not swap anything or visit a shop. Your normal number stays on your main SIM.

What you pay per gigabyte

Here is the honest part. The more countries a plan covers, the more each gigabyte costs, because the plan has to pay networks in all of them. These are our real prices for 5 GB over 30 days:

So the global plan costs about 6 times more per gigabyte than the cheapest option above. That is fine for 3 GB spread over five countries. It is a poor deal for 20 GB in one place.

When a global eSIM is worth it

• Trips across several regions. Tokyo, then Bangkok, then Los Angeles is three regions. One global eSIM beats juggling three plans.
• You do not know where you will land. Flexible tickets, work trips that change, or a long backpacking route.
• Layovers and short hops. A few hours in Doha or Istanbul is not worth a separate plan.
• A backup that sits ready. The 1 GB plan lasts 365 days from first use, for $10.99. Keep it installed for emergencies.

When it is not

• One country, or most of the trip in one country. A country plan is almost always cheaper.
• Heavy data. Streaming, video calls or a laptop hotspot use gigabytes fast, and those cost the most on a global plan.
• Places it does not cover. Check the list first.

Where it works, and where it does not

The plan covers 117 countries, from the US, Canada and most of Europe to Japan, Australia, Brazil and South Africa. Open the full list under the plans above before you buy.

A few popular places are not on it: Vietnam, Maldives, Dominican Republic and Jamaica. Buy a country plan for those, from the same balance.

  Works in port and near the coast. Not on a ship's own satellite network.

• In the air

  Not in flight. It connects again when you land in a covered country.

• Starts on arrival

  The clock starts at the first connection in a covered country.

How to set it up

1. Top up in crypto and buy the plan. The QR code appears in your dashboard.
2. Install it at home on Wi-Fi. Scan the QR code in your phone's settings. It will not start yet.
3. When you land, switch the eSIM line on, choose it for mobile data, and turn on data roaming for that line. Our activation guide shows each step per phone.
