How Viber checks your number
Viber has to link your account to a phone number, and it starts on your phone. You enter the number, and Viber sends an activation code to confirm it.
Sometimes Viber tries a phone call first instead of a text. A one-time number cannot pick up calls, so if you see an option to get the code by SMS, choose that.
