What a business number costs
Business phone systems charge per person. A simple number charges per line. Quo's cheapest plan, for example, is $19 a user a month, or $15 billed yearly, which is $180 a year for one person. A US number at SimVala is $11.88 for a whole year. The gap is the team features. If you need them, pay for them. If not, you do not have to.
Business texting has rules
Texts you type yourself, to customers who contacted you, are ordinary messages. Automated or bulk texts are different. In the US, carriers require business texting sent by software to be registered, a system called A2P 10DLC, and unregistered traffic gets blocked. SimVala numbers are for messages you write yourself, and our Acceptable Use Policy bans bulk messaging. For marketing campaigns, use a registered business texting service.

Do I need a company or ID to get one?+
No. You do not need a registered company, an email, or ID. For numbers in a few countries, the upstream provider must check ID first; we tell you before anything is sent.
What happens if I stop paying?+
The number renews from your balance while it covers the plan. If it runs short, you get 3 days to top up, then the number is suspended and later released. Keep it renewed while customers still use it.
